In 2008, the South Carolina Festivals
and Events Association (SCFEA) & the North Carolina Association of Festivals and Events (NCAFE) conducted a study to gain
a better understanding of the type and scope of festivals and events across the Carolinas. This year a similar study
will be conducted by the College of Charleston & NC State University. The survey will provide important information
and show trends for the festival industry here in the Carolinas. Both SCFEA & NCAFE recognize the importance of
festivals and events to our communities, and hope this study will help all of us to better understand their diversity, issues,
and logistics. When you receive notification that the online survey is active, please take 15-20 minutes to
complete it so your event statistics are included.
